While it may of been easier to use, it is better optimized if you use pcvars. And if you are setting a cvar to a num or float value, it is better to use the set_*cvar_num and set_*cvar_float natives than always using set_*cvar_string. Same with get_*cvar_*

*_pcvar_*() functions are not for 1.8 only. I believe they were added either in 1.75 or 1.76, perhaps even before both (I'd have to go through the logs, but it's pointless). Use them. Unapproved any way for failing to give credit (even though you may have now, you obviously didn't read the rules first anyways) etc and adding some trivial feature.

Either way this plugin looks like it changed from a restart plugin to another one of those color text ones
