Erm.. I haven't received any message about this issue (I don't know about it at least).

Anyway, it would probably be pretty hard to change AMXx to use the UTF-8 format and it would probably introduce bugs. That's why we don't want to mess with it anymore...

We will try to make SourceMod as Chinese-compatible as possible

Lol, I could request hebrew support, but I think english is better, hebrew is right-to-left language it'll be very weird, and source has some problems with hebrew (characters cut.. not really easy to read it )

We should be able to use a special font for Chinese.. I wonder if we can set up Japanese in the same fashion!

what are the reasons not usin the GPL? as far as i can see there is no security related issue which could support an argument against GPL.
usually ppl only avoid GPL if they have commercial "thoughts". if so (its not wrong to have commercial habbits), then state it clear. if not, why not opensource licenses as BSD or GPL?

best regards

Simon
PS: if you consider using the GPL modell, i's would be glad to help you with support - alot support...

IIRC, they arent using GPL because one of the components that will be in use is in a different open source license..

It will be no problem if UTF8 is supported all the way.
