Ultimate SteamID Protection - No passwords
Hello, this plugin is designed to protect players' steam ID from being hacked. It should work for most HL games, but we tested it on CS source V90

On 1st player connect player database will record his steam ID + IP and generate a unique random CODE (example 169e6c1499556611ad9d9f168437a12).

How it works:
! = wrong
#= missing

SteamId + IP + CODE: Pass

SteamId + IP + CODE!: Pass and generate a new code for the user

SteamId + IP + CODE#: Pass + generatea new code for the user

SteamId + IP! + CODE: Pass + save his New IP

SteamId + IP! + CODE!: Deny + show a message

SteamId + IP! + CODE#: Deny + show a message

Installing:
1) Choose extension appropriate for you game:
.dll = windows
.so = Linux
and upload it to extensions

2) upload the plugin to plugins
3) upload translations to translations

4) Edit database.cfg by adding:

"ultimate_protect"
{
"driver" "sqlite"
"database" "ultimate_protect"
}

OR for mysql:

"ultimate_protect"
{
"driver" "mysql"
"database" "ultimate_protect"
}

5) Restart the server

So this does what Sourcemod's PassInfoVar do, used by admin simple and sourcebans?

Also, you should not ship another party extension with your plugin.

No, this protects every player. Hacker won't be able to join with their steam ID at all.
Admin simple protects only admins (obviously), and still, a hacker can join with admin's steam id (but he won't have access to admin), do some damage to him, and also get his steam id banned by anti-cheat or stuff like this. If you put other stuff which prevents him from joining with admins' steam id that doesn't stop him from abusing other players, by doing this kind of stuff mentioned above to them. Also, you will be afraid to ban this hacker because if he is smart he will be using the steam id of the innocent player.

SteamID on licence can't be hacked. For this, you need to steal the target Steam ticket. And it is not as easy as it sounds.

I guess this is for servers that use revemu or other emulation system that let non-steam players to join your server, i dont think you can steal someone else steam id on a steam only server.

So why does Sourcemod has passwords for Admins if it's so hard to hack???
