OK, finally! someone who actually knows things.. atom, you know how you said that the ports for counter strike is 27000 to 27020 UDP, 27020 to 27050 TCP, and 27015TCP? But does it matter if you just do both? Both for the UDP and TCP. you know how theres the option of doing just TCP or UDP? is it fine if i just do BOTH?

Doing both is ok, but not recommended, you shouldn't expose your systems to more then what is needed or required by the software that accesses the web.

Like my last post said, just do the ranges it says on the proper protocol.

TCP 27015
Strange, because I never opend these ports on my router , I just logged in and opend port 27015 (UDP -TCP : Both) and then it worked ;)

Atom, look at this website. I think you know this but it's kind of strange how you're saying to forward 27000 to 27020, 27020 to 27050, and 27015. But if you look at this website, it says 1200 to 1200, 27000 to 27015, 27020 to 27039. It's saying that that's the proper port... what do you say?

The ports I mentioned are from Steams website, they are the complete port list for Steam to run properly. You can see that list here:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...8571-GLVN-8711

Your router configuration should look similar to this:
[img]http://img140.**************/img140/5650/ports.png[/img]

(Note that the IP used in the picture above will probably be different then the one you need to use for your system.)

It is also possible that your ISP is blocking the connections on that port. You can alter the port that HLDS uses via the command line. Such as:

-port 5000

Which would tell the server to use port 5000 instead. Then you would need to configure your router to properly forward this port, as well as any firewalls and such.

Before going this far, try unplugging your router and connecting your system directly to your modem and have someone try to connect to it again. If they are still unable to connect, then there is something within the computer or your ISP blocking the connection still.

You can take a picture of your current screen using the Print Screen button on your keyboard, then you can edit, cut, crop, etc. the image using Microsoft Paint. Save the file as a png for best quality/size for the internet, then upload it to a site such as: http://www.**************

They will give you a direct link to the image. Use that inside of the img tags on this forum, for example:

PHP Code:
