So i have rcon access to a server in which i recently installed amx mod x. I'm not a noob to cs or to rcon but i am to amx, and apparently i ****ed up majorly and yeah...lemmie just paste the console readout

I have no idea how to unban myself. I gave rcon to a friend and he's tried a bunch of commands and still can't do it. Could someone please help me, it would be VERY appreciated!

Also if you could help me i could give you rcon access temporarily to do it.

If it's a temporary ban, restarting the server should do it. If it's permanent, find your ip/steam id in the banlist.cfg/banip.cfg file and erase it.

Going on what vvg125 said, I'd say that if you restart the server and you're no longer banned, it was temporary. If it's listed in banlist.cfg/banip.cfg, it is permanent (until you remove it from the file).

ok, is there any way to edit the file through rcon or amx or does it have to be done with ftp? I personally dont have ftp access.

Well first try restarting the server to see if you get unbanned. The server console command would be 'quit'. If you're friend has AMX Mod X admin and you were banned by Steam ID, the command would be amx_unban <steam id>. I'm not sure about RCON commands for unbanning because I usually use HLSW for that and I never ban by IP.

You need to remove that entry from your users.ini and change map

Where are the banlist.cfg/banip.cfg? I banned myselft too testing my ban maneger...

Use your rcon access to remove the ban from memory and rewrite the config files.

rcon_password <yourPass>
rcon_address <yourServIP>
rcon_port <yourServPortNum>

rcon removeid YOUR_STEAMID
rcon removeip yourIPaddr

rcon writeid
rcon writeip

Now get back in your server.

It's in the mod folder (eg: cstrike, dod, tfc, etc...).
