renamed the file.
Thank you, works at first then stops working for some reason, any insight would be appreciated.

--- UPDATE

That error, somehow a donator got entered into SB "TEAM_0:1:56088610" and not "STEAM_0:1:56088610".

Seems to be working great atm.

Just for fun, Valve released a doubly-rare optional update.

Rare in that it's a weekend, doubly rare because its on a US holiday.

Edit: Right, update notes

Yep that last note is just stupid, so sick of their crap and no community support.

Ok here is something weird I noticed since the Gun Mettle update. I am not sure if it was the TF2 update itself, or maybe something that came along with the latest SM stable snapshot (1.7.3 git 5217).

Basically, it seems like something has changed in the way chat and console inputs are being processed - in terms of quoted text, etc. This is effecting things like using the "rename" command to rename a player (or yourself).

For example, this previously worked fine:
Code:
/rename @me "Rap God"
That will now result in an attempt to rename myself to "'" (at least that's when it said in the SM logs)
Code:
L 07/06/2015 - 16:47:36: [playercommands.smx] "Weasel<75><[U:1:311]><>" renamed "Weasel<75><[U:1:311]><>" to "'")
This will generate an automatic kick from the server - with the message "Disconnect: Please change your name."

However, this will work fine, without using spaces (and thus not requiring quotes):
Code:
/rename @me Rap-God
I assume this could also other commands that may often require quoted text parameters?
Anybody know what is causing this new behavior, or if it is even intentional?

PS: In my example, I get the same issues using the in-game chat command (/rename) or in the console (sm_rename).

Update: Just spotted this other thread discussing related issue.

/vote example: /vote "hello I am a question"

turns into "hello" is the question and the rest are answers.

I still cannot figure this out.. I feel really dumb. I've tried uploading it the way it is, with and without the org files in the admin-flatfile folder. Tried uploading the fix files to the compiler and just get errors. I read though the rest of the comments here and apparently I just don't get what I'm suppose to do with the fixed files.
