I don't know much about modding or scripts that much so I'm wondering if I mod .ctx files with the CTX Encoder and Decoder for TF2 (Here), can I just put in a RCON command to turn it on or off with a plugin or some sort of admin mod so that I can switch between the default .ctx files and the modded .ctx files?

I think the ctx files are loaded on server start up, so you need to rename the ctx and restart the server to work...

So what your saying is that a command would not be able to change them through a rcon command you would actually have to change it in the control panel of the server?

No.

You can rename files with SM (I don't know if you can rename the ctx...).

But you need to restart the server.

Do you do that in the console or do you have to be logged into a control panel to the server?

Each time you edit the ctx files they will need to be encrypted again and the srcds they are being modified for has to restart. You can also get by with using no encryption but you would have to make sure all the files are that way. Then simply edit the text file and restart the srcds for the changes to take affect. There was some work in the past to make the *.ctx files dynamic but it seems to have stopped in favour of getting SM 1.1. out as a final release..

Here is lookin at you Mr Crab. Yeah you!.

Last I messed with it, it was telling me a sig was wrong or something, and I believe bailopan mentioned that it didnt work for windows at all. I cannot wait for structs to be added back though.
