the UNCONNECTED players actually have thier name set to "" not " " this is how the glitch is occuring it stops the engine from realising that the player has fully connected and so behaves like they are only partially connected.

PM if you want to know how that is done as you will find its not possible to do it normally

The issue with players as "unconnected" I will deal in another plugin, which I will hopefully release tomorrow, as it will not be restricted to just name checks, but also will incorporate an anti cheating check as well

As for this plugin, Version 2.0 released which will check any part of the name for "unnamed" to catch players with (1), (2) etc at the begining of thier names.

Yea, "you" US "people" lag and not only in game too :-P

Updated, so that the player name to check can be easily altered via a new cvar.

Handy for mods other than just CS:S, such as Eternal Silence which names the new player to "ES Newbie", rather than unnamed.

hey there guys just like to say first awesome plugin running it on my empires server and i am chuckling hard

can this plugin be setup to change multiple names to one name like "Napalms minion"

I have completed version 3.5. You can now setup multiple names to automatically change (e.g. unnamed and someothername will be changed to whatever sm_autoname_name is).

It's tested and working.

I know this plugin is alittle bit old but i have a request:

make it for that the name can set randomly between multiple names or random names for that if multiple people with the name unnamed they have different names, will help kick/ban the certain person if they hack or something.
