Installing Amx Mod X Problem

well i downloaded "Amx Mod X Full With Installer" and wenever i go to the part when it says what server u want, i click dedicated server. THen a error comes up and says U HAVE TO RUN DEDICATED SERVER FIRST BLAH BLAH BLAH. can anyone help me? cause all i want to do is make my own server that i can run and play at the same time and put all the plugins and other great stuff in it.

How do you intend to run your server? By starting it up and then clicking "New Game"? If so, that's called a Listen Server.

Hi guys I was looking for similar help on a linux server and I think I have a simple solution for you.
Basicaly it is asking you to run a dedicated server once. To do this

open your STEAM
Locate "TOOLS"
There will be an icon name "DEDICATED SERVER" open it

A new window should open
In the "GAME" window choose your CS or CZ game or whatever it might be you have to get the right game as it will create a folder for you.
put in your "RCON password"
click on "START SERVER"

As soon as the server is launched you can shut down the server and steam and retry your AMX INSTALLER again.

WOW this really helped me out lol... my server now has AMX MOD X!!! well one more thing thoe....

i am the only one who can go on my server thoe.
i turned on dedicated server too and i go on it and everything works fine. but when i told my friend to go on it, it doesnt work!!! i tried searching for my server on GAMETIGER.COM but it STILL doesnt work... can someone help me out here!!!

my friend tried typing "connect "IP"" in console but it still doesnt work, he says its not responding... well help meh please!!!

Grr this doesnt help me i have the same problem asking me to run dedicated server but im runing the server... and amx wont install.. but i know how to fix ur problem with how ur friends join the server first of all i need to know if u forwarded ur ports if u have then go to google find out ur ip address and type:27015 at the end of it and give it to ur friends and they wil be able to join..... but plz help me i cant finish installation!! plz some1
