Hi guys,

Apologies if this is the wrong section or if I'm doing something wrong, I'm new around here.

First let me say that I have zero experience in modding games. I have experience only in web development.

However, I am very interested in the idea of getting live data out of GOTV, similar to HLTV.org's scorebot. I am not sure how HLTV.org's scorebot works (maybe someone can clarify).
I'd like to build something a bit more advanced though, of course depending on what's possible from within GOTV and what is not.

The idea is to output live data from pro games and display it on the web, like rounds won, bomb planted and defused, etc.

My problem is that I have no idea where to start with outputting that data out of CSGO/GOTV.

Has anyone got any experience into doing that?

Thanks.

It either rcon logs stream or a bot that actually join the gotv, for the logs stream situation, the owner of the server would have to either whitelist hltv ip or give them rcon.

You might want to look at eBot.

Interesting. I doubt I will ever manage to get rcon access to pro league matches so that's out.
By bots do you mean something like eBot?

I thought eBot worked only if you had full access to the server which is sadly not the case. I'll have another look!

Basically it works with RCON.

RCon and log streaming as completely separate. Enabling log streaming is handled via commands/convars that can be issued via console, RCon, or configs. You do not need RCon access to receive logs.
