Hello, as you can know, in CSGO you must set (for example) -maxdownloadfilesizemb 300 in your client launch option to allow your game to download a map bigger than 150 mb from a community server. Is there a way to make a simple plugin that can avoid this, so players won't need to set that command in the launch options anymore?

I think this could be useful for a lot of servers, thanks in advance.

*Edit: I know you can avoid this, uploading maps in my fastdl without bz2 compression, but that's not the idea xD

It's the only solution, if only want .bz2 maps on your download server...

So there's no solution to avoid that?

No.

- Do not bzip if the .bsp is larger than 150 MB (keep the .bsp, do NOT have both the .bz2 and .bsp!)

- Force your clients to raise the -maxdownloadfilesizemb setting manually.

Pretty much the options you have.

Considering things like Zip bomb and the fact that some systems will hang for a while (and perhaps some systems kill the application (e.g. CS:GO)), when decompressing large files, I highly doubt that Valve made it this way to piss you off.
