Hey guys could u help me out? I dont want to rent dedi servers but i want buy my own machine. I would like run atleast 5-8 servers with 24 slots. I don’t know much about specs so that why im here.

I have wondering, should dedicated game server like SRCDS run with "game CPU" rather than those very expensive server processors which handle again more like SQL and else etc. ?

Is it better use CPU which have better single core performance, like i7-8700K ??

if you need to run N game servers, you have to have N+1 processor cores on your dedicated server, that extra core beeing for the OS.

I run all my servers off an 8700k, best CPU on the market for CS:GO really just power consumption is a bitch.
