I know this is delayed, but I should respond anyway to keep questions answered.

The do_freeze/do_thaw functions are intended to be copied or somehow used elsewhere. So... yes, it could be made into a game. I don't have time to make a game right now but feel free to request that idea or give it a try yourself.
