does not work for me too. installed simple-chatprocessor + your plugin. i can select colors but i have still the default color.

Then u can put for the name stay colored so ?

if you're using custom-chatcolors for you tag and name color just leave the text color field in empty ""

then u can have colored tag/name (using CCC) then on the fly text color changes using this plugin
