Hi Every1, i have set up a hlds stand alone server, everything works but i have 1 big problem, when i'm on my server my ping should be 13 to 40, but it jumps to max 700 very unstable, everyone that joins my server experiences lagg their ping also jumps from their original ping which could be 40/170 to 500 and 700.
So in other words the server's latency is very unstable.

My speedtest shows:
Download speed 17000 Kbps
Upload speed 3100 Kbps
Ping 190 Ms

___COMPUTER____
Processor; Intel (R) Premium (R) P6200 @ 2.13 Ghz
Ram; 4 Gb
System type; 64 Bit

i have visited reece-eu for the rates.
But that didnt help neither.
I'm stuck, I know the computer and internet are good enough.
according to reece, my rates are good enough.

I have made a new server.cfg at (http://www.cstrike-planet.com)
I have added just the reece-eu rates. but the LAGG CONTINUES !!

So if anyone that " KNOWS " how to fix this, please pass the light !!

Might your server is bottlenecking due to its lousy core.

Also, what's your port speed for your server?

Is the server you host on the same computer you play the game on? If you ignore questions in this thread people won't be able to help you.

I do not ignore questions, i just cant answer that which i do not understand.

I have just setup a server, on port 27016
I dont use the computer i have put the server on, i first tried to host using wireless "wifi"
Then i tried with internet cable. same result, but now the server host computer is attached to the cable.
just to rule that out as probable cause. so that i may get closer to the cause.

Dude, you can't do that with that lousy core of yours and lousy internet connection port.
And no, using of MEMEs isn't even cool, having a name related to a MEME is worse.

If you are not going to accept the help of the community, then do not post. When people give you a suggestion or ask a follow-up question, be polite and listen/respond to them. If you do not understand them, let them know that, don't ignore them.

If you ever bothered looking at my previous post, it was an obvious answer, I will explain everything clearly to you again.

PORT speed = Internet speed, I asked that question previously because I thought you hosted your server on a separate game server instead of your PC

You're trying to host a server with that lousy port connection speed of your computer PLUS trying to play your game.

Your connection PORT is unable to support up to that speed/bandwidth for all the other players, this is the cause of high ping/latency/lag.

In addition to that, you're on a 2.13 GHz core, running Goldsrc for your game and also trying to run HLDS for your server.

Your server bottlenecks due to its lousy core, causing random spikes of high ping/latency/lag.

Also, fix your attitude as well, nobody will join that server of yours if you keep up with your attitude.
