Hi all.

I have a HL1 based Half-Life server. I'm new on this. I don't know why but we can't use "votemap" command in console (as a player) although the mapcycle.txt file exists in valve/ dir.

Any ideas?

Hi, can you please post your exact command you use?

The right command is amx_votemap "de_dust" "cs_assault" "de_dust2" etc.

Since this is posted in the HLDS forum the first question should be: "Are you using AMX Mod X?"

EDIT: Nevermind, I see, after looking at his other posts, he is using AMX Mod X.

So, there is no command called "votemap". See here for information about available commands.

I use amxmodx of course but the problem is not related to amxx ^^

All vote commands for ADMINS are working great. The command I'm talking about is a HL/CS built-in console command such as "name" So players can change the map by giving votes like "votemap 5" when there are no admins online.

Either there's a CVAR to enable map voting or it doesn't work in HL.
