Thats what I wanted to know if its technically possible... in UT it does exactly this, when I am joining a full 16/16 server it sets it to 17/16 and if someone leaves it will be 16/16 again!

Well also the possibility to do something like make a 18 players server but always have 2 reserved slots would be sufficient.

But as it is now its totally useless for me! I really dont want to do player kicking... we have a great community and that would be really rude....

I dont know why it wouldnt work then..if its in the cfg folder it should work..
It is working on my server for scoutzknivez_source for me.
heres whats in mine:
mp_freezetime 0
sv_alltalk 1
mp_timelimit 20
sv_gravity 200

Make sure theres you hit an enter on each line..
maybe its expecting a line feed from each line or something and not getting it..

I agree and I dont use it either...but some people want it..
How is a server doing it I do not know...
IN cs 1.6 there was a sv_visiblemaxplayers variable that was able to be adjusted for reserved slot implimentation..
There doesnt appear to be an equivalent in source.

i used exactly the same as you, i see in the console that it execs the other cfg's but doesnt say a single thing about the scoutknives cfg.

does that only work on a dedicated server? as im trying it off a server that i create

I dont think any of the plugins will work off of anything other than a dedicated server (or so I believe even though valve said they fixed that).

well its not a plugin, its just a simple cfg.

its fixed now anyway, <mapname>.cfg only work on dedicated servers, mine is fine now, thanks.

also just as a note, to get the sv download to work you have to take the caps out of the mapname and change them to lowercase.

Is their a way when the map voting wins.. at the round end it switches fast to the next map... so if you have a 1 on 1 situation.. sometimes you don't know who killed who if they both shooting at eachother.. the second it registers it switches to the map that won the vote....

beetle the afk is still kicking ppl and its set to 0. i cant turn it off and ppl are being kicked after 1 round
