You should cache ScreenFade msg value in a global var.
You could hook FM_LightStyle from plugin_precache in case default map light wouldn't be "m".
You could set/unset nvg on default NVG message instead of hooking command and check if user actually has nvg.
And yes, would be nice to fix ScreenFade after Flash event, and also you could just disable the ScreenFade feature by cvar, could be usefull for kz servers for example.

You brutefixed it lol but i think it is acceptable and make it smooth would be a pain.
Don't forget to cache get_user_msgid("ScreenFade") in a global var, to register FM_LightStyle in plugin_precache and not in plugin_init (i think you just made a typo there), and then the code is ok.

I think you forgot to block message_screenfade when needed, also, when message_nvgtoggle is sent, plugin you know if player has just been flashed ;)
