Gently: I was merely describing what I was experiencing, not lying; however, you were right, it was a compression issue. Plugin runs without any problems otherwise.

Btw: Your compression efficiency my be related to the simplicity of your decal. I cannot get my 1.33Mb decal compressed below ~400kb.

I tried using my decal as spray in the server but it came out blank. I fail at this stuff.

i am into a idea right now. tell me what you guys think. a texture can be anim but a "spray" is very limited. anyone know the max limits of a anim decal or texture...i saw a german guy who made an hour and a half anim movie that was like 64kb with sound and everything....

dontwannaname...post it here ill be glad to help whoever i can. mui importantae to check the vmt for file structure and the decal must be a power of 2 i.e 2x4 128x256 or stay simple at 512x512 with a decalscale at.25 ...

Or to acheive a similar level of detail with a smaller filesize you can make your decal 256x256 and decalscale 0.50

I'm getting an error with your VTF file : Explorer crashes every time I try to view it.

If I try to open in in Photoshop I get the attached error.

This has never happened with any VTF file I've dealt with in the past.
I have a plugin to handle VTF thumbnails in Explorer and a Photoshop plugin to handle the VTF file format.

Better option is to post your source and let someone recreate the VTF from that.

Did you update to the latest VTF version. I used VTF 4.0 instead of 2.0

OK ty I have updated my PS plugin

I'm pretty sure that you can't use a spray that's larger than roughly 90kb.

I can see no reason see why your decal won't work with this plugin if you edit the VMT file accordingly.
