1. It's not a task. If players have 60fps it'll call it 60 times per second. Imo, it's not more cpu friendly.

EDIT: Connor was faster about that task...

You can't change colors in hudmessage whenever you want, you have to make another hud message, but with menu you can use \r, \y and \w. If i will press ~4 buttons the hud message will flash, not talking about other hud messages made by other plugins wont be shown. Even with hud sync.

@Connor - Months ago i heard that Fakemeta was faster than engine, now it's proven otherwise(not always, but in some cases). I'll stick to fakemeta only.

Not based, but it depends on it. Still if player has 60 fps it'll be called 60 times.

I'd prefer descriptive display instead of pre-configured buttons:

Use < > ^ v for the directions and use USE, JUMP and DUCK or CROUCH for the rest.

For example, I have use on Mouse3, jump on Mouse5 and crouch on Space. Some also use other keys for the directions, while that may not be a problem I'd be confused the first time about the action keys (I don't even remember the default settings, I can't tell from the screens which is jump and which is crouch actually.)

They look gay.
I would use names like [RIGHT][LEFT][FORWARD][BACK], but they are too long. I've binded jump on mwheel, duck on mwheel and mouse3/4. It doesn't matter. Players See the CTRL and they automatically think about DUCK on their mouse3,9,700 buttons.

What exactly is looking "gay" there?

You could also use /\ \/ for up/down.

^ and V
With \/ and /\ i've got problems. Menu used \ for colors, that's why it's not displaying it.

not true, i have played cs for about 6 years now nd i have always used Shift as duck nd CTRL as walk. i dont automatically think about CTRL being DUCK.
