The maps.cfg defines which themeset each map uses. Did you want a cvar like sm_themes_next_themeset ?

If you're still confused read the comments at the top of each config file. I tried to make them as detailed as possible.

I'll add a cvar to make particle downloading optional depending on whether the current theme actually uses particles. That was how it worked originally, however I changed it to always download due to a bug in TF2 related to custom particles causing all particles to be corrupted when changing to a map that doesn't use custom particles.

Hi guys I tried to download the plugin, but the compiler says it can't be compiled

How can i solve?
Don't click the "Get Plugin" link. Just download the zip file. The plugin itself is useless without the extra files.

Another question what if I don't have a fast download server?

Then you do not need to worry about the fastdownload files. Your server should allow players to download the normal files directly.

I don't have the fastdownload server. Do I have to upload the folder into my server?

I see, if I could define one themeset for my entire rotation without adjusting it for each map, that would be fantastic (although for now I'm prepared to do this), sm_themes_next_themeset won't be necessary for me (although extra features are always nice ;))

That would be fantastic, my server won't switch between themese with and without custom particles, so the particle corruption issue shouldn't affect me (If you do add this, a warning on the first post for those who don't know would be a good idea)

Thanks for responding!

I assume this is the bug you are referring to:

That is the bug, I'm pretty sure that any use of custom particles will make that happen anyway, regardless of whether or not the next map uses them.

It's something that Valve needs to fix.

Yeah, I can confirm this. At least on my end. Using custom particles on a map, say dustbowl for example and then switching to any other map that does not use them results in this bug. This happens even if the server is set up to use non-particle themes or even playing a server that does not have this plugin. I believe it has something to do with the mapname_particles.txt file. Deleting this file and playing the map followed by switching to another map makes the bug go away.

It's rather unfortunate. Could J-Factor create a non particle version of this plugin until such time Valve fixes this or a work around is found?

I know being Valve this could be months if ever. Maybe J-Factor or someone else can create a workaround.

This plugin makes my server take about 20 minutes to load a map. What's up with that?

This is a great plugin. I've been using it for a very long time, and I've been able to accomplish lots of things with it. Thanks for making it, it really spices up some of the old maps

With some effort, I was able to put badlands underwater

it freaked out everyone who joined

I've also made dustbowl at night, hydro during the rain, and I made a really crappy attempt at putting badwater in the twilight realm (I couldn't get the particle effects to rotate properly )
