I also got the same message... He yells for medic, your hear the voice yell, but then you don't get healed, ftb doesn't activate, and most importantly, you do not get healed.

OK.
Fixed it.

The problem was the Unicode text file.
Just over write the dodmedic.phrases.txt file with the one in the original post.

Try the newest version, and set

sm_medic_alpha 255

in your server.cfg
