Auto-promoting users to a certain admin group

I've been looking around and haven't found a plugin that functioned like the way I wanted. I personally edit users so they obtain donor status after well, donations.

Is it possible for it to be somehow automated so I don't have to edit text and have to manually reload the admin.cfg file?

For example, I would like to promote a member to donor status by typing /promote <user> <group>. Lastly, is it possible to set auto-expiration dates for these statuses?

Be nice if something like this was part of Sourcebans but if you are using SB then this isn't possible unless you do it thru the website. As for expiration dates, you are not the last one to ask about this either... I just keep a spreadsheet on a google doc with dates and check it from time to time. If someone gets an extra day cause I'm late then ohh well its not that big of a deal. I use a calender update thru outlook to let me know when someone is up.

I remember there used to be a plugin that managed donors and even offered trials for those who were curious, but it became inactive and was outdated.

Can you elaborate on how to do this over the website? Unless you mean through using the SouceBan website, which in that case I can't since it overwrites my admin_group.cfg :S

Yeah I had that issue too with my groups being over written... just go into the script and rename it to name to another file...just open it up and go to lines 215 and 213.... make it admin_groups1.cfg and admins1.cfg if you don't want that file over written either. Recompile it and there ya go.
