Who ever wanted to host the web in COM A and L4D/2 game server in COM B, if u did not enable the SQL Privileges then it will be fail, try add it then everything will be fine!!!!

I removed the two files and created one new to combine the two: install.php. You should've seen the error once you had tried loading the site up. It should give you an error like "remove install.php before continuing" etc.

It is a very large file because it contains geological IP mappings of the whole world, and will generate the minimum of same size database. It is not a mandatory for the installation.

No it does not. All previous ranks are there after the installation/update. You should still always take a backup before you do any modifications to your existing "hot" database.

I need help with this badly.. i get a 2003 error from the log files, i made the database, and got the web part working. so the problem seems my database isnt open for remote connections..? i've tried to google it, and also looked through a many pages here, but couldnt find any solutions. I'm hosting it free at 000webhost.com is that a problem?

You must make sure your database server is accepting remote connections. Ask it from a help desk if you can't figure it out yourself. Rented servers do not always allow remote connections at all, and has blocked the port from the firewall.

hi there, i dont think 000webhost.com allow remote connections......if its a free host account i think....i think if you pay they then allow remote access....i think i tried them to begin with....

This is correct. Remote connections to mysql is disabled on free hosting. You can only connect to it through a local script (located on your FTP) and/or via phpmyadmin.
