So... We are running a Age of Chivalry v1.0.0.3 (Linux, Dedicated, Protocol 14) server. I installed MetaMod:Source v1.7.1 without any problems. Then i installed SourceMod v1.2.0 and here the problems started. When i just change the map the sourcemod works. But after rcon quit the server wont come online agian. Here is the log:

L 03/28/2009 - 10:45:47: SourceMod error session started
L 03/28/2009 - 10:45:47: Info (map "aoc_valley") (file "errors_20090328.log")
L 03/28/2009 - 10:45:47: [CLIENTPREFS] unable to open database file

Any idea what i have done wrong? Cause i havent got any problems installing sourcemod on hidden:source server.

My Team Fortress 2 server has been crashing since the last steam update [April 20]

I have tried everything to find the problem, but have had no luck.
I looked in the forums at every single plugin that I am using to see if there have been reported issues with any of them since the last steam update,
but they all check out fine.
I have also gone to the length of formatting my server,
and it still continues to crash.

I talked with the host of my server and they did mention that some other servers had problems since the last steam update as well, but mentioned no exact cause of the problem.

My server has now been unusable for 10 days thanks to a terrible steam update which gives you the awesome ability to permanently delete your weapons. Thanks steam !

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd really appreciate your help.

It's rather "Thanks, VALVe". Steam is just a centralized software for games, not the maker or TF2

Unfortunately, what I've read from Steam Users Forum, there's no Admin-side/client-side cure to this, so we've just got to wait for VALVe to issue a fix. I wonder why they can't do/make anything new without breaking existing

Oooo, additional Karma I can't thank you enough back

It's no secret that I use Gmail and have Gmail Notifier in Firefox, checking the mail once per minute. That's how I'm always replying fast if I'm on the machine AND have something to say.

Be noted, the threads I link below doesn't say it directly ...

which leads to

Ah, I seem to be partially blind for missing the post which recommends to add -NoQueuedPacketThread to the Server's startup commandline. I don't have TF2 Server so I couldn't test.

On bro's Ubuntu, we don't use -autoupdate switch.

OK

Multumesc
