I have the workshop parameters all setup correctly, and I'm pretty certain I have no starting map parameters in my configs, but in the command line I have '+host_workshop_collection 140943564' (I even tried '+map seaside'), yet it always seems to start on de_dust. Anyone else having this issue or know of a fix for such?

Several things could be going wrong:
You didn't provide your authkey, since you didn't give us your whole start parameter we can assume anything here.
You do not need to provide a map or mapgroup when using workshop.
You added a 'bad' map to your collection, it can't download the map so it just sits on de_dust and you can't join.
Remove all workshop maps, go to your collection, add in maps 1 by 1 till you find what map is causing the problem.

I had this same problem a few days ago for a client of mine, and he had bricked his server by adding a map Steam wouldn't download. Completely froze the server, which is why I do not like workshop, and I think splewis would agree on that element.

Greatly appreciate your response. However my workshop maps are working fine, and are downloading them flawlessly, it just seems to be an issue with the starting map as I can load the workshop maps just fine. Not too much of a big deal however, thanks anyway.

If that's the case, did you set +host_workshop_map <id of map> ?
