I would like to give FTP to an admin on my server but i don't want him to access the root files. How would i be able to only allow him to access the /tf folder. I am on linux

Configure whatever FTP server program you are running to do this.

Are you referring to the FTP client? Or the FTP server?

That isn't the issue, you need to configure your server FTP program.
Such as: vsftpd, Pure-FTPd, ProFTPd, or iFTPd.

What you need to do is chroot the user to a directory. If you don't manager your own server and have access to this, you're going to be out of luck. Unless of course your GSP is willing to do that for you.
