I've noticed that servers running SourceMOD aren't showing up in the Xfire server lists.

Server IP: 82.71.218.106:27015
Server Query Status: Server is not responding to information query.

Server IP: 81.19.219.32:27015
Server Query Status:
Server is not responding to information query.

Both servers are running completely different plugins.

They both show up fine with the VALVe server browser and in HLSW but not in Xfire.

If I unload SourceMOD on my server then it responds to the Xfire Query Status.

I have no idea why that would happen. I would contact xfire. It sounds like something on their end (maybe they're deliberately filtering it out?)

Shaman: That makes no sense.

I can query servers running sourcemod fine.. so, I highly doubt this is a sourcemod bug.

I've been chatting to an expert on Xfire protocol and apparently there are problems with Xfire querying servers with a *large* number of public variables.

My contact will be speaking the the Xfire engineers to highlight this problem.

I wish I could switch off the public variables for the SM plugins I'm running - how would I go about that?

It wouldn't be too hard to cook up a plugin which removed the "public" part of cvars listed in a text file... i could try to cook one up sometime tonight.
