my gameinfo.txt.mms:

GameBin |gameinfo|addons\metamod\bin. Game |gameinfo_path|. Game cstrike Game hl2

I've also tried \'s and /'s and .'s
my sourcemm.bat:

cd "cstrike" copy gameinfo.txt.mms gameinfo.txt cd .. hl2.exe -console -game cstrike

I currently have goremod, csbotc, and mani as mms plugins.

My standalone addons are rpgmod and eventscripts.

Both standalones are working perfectly; however, none of the mms' work other than mani...

I find it odd that mani works without flaw (I've tried already), but none the others work let alone meta itself (meta in console doesn't do anything).

Any suggestions?

BTW: all mods are up to date

O yea I forgot to mention for those troubleshooting:
try GameBin |gameinfo|addons\metamod\bin. rather than GameBin |gameinfo_path|addons\metamod\bin.

I didn't understand your last post. You solved your problem by doing that or do you still need help?

I have looked for help about the exact problem in many hours, and found alot threads saying the same things.
What i didn't understand was the "readonly." Wich was the only thing that worked.

Rightclick the file and chose properties. I think you know the rest.

no i haven't figured it out yet, but with my previous post...i can get mani and rpgmod working (mani as mms version)

readonly doesn't work on my xp home sp2

If you're mani mms version is working then metamod is working.

There's one thing i never understood.. Why gameinfo.txt.mms instead of gameinfo.txt ?

My gameinfo doesn't got mms after txt, and it works perfectly

gameinfo.txt.mms is not part of the metamod:source install.

It is just a copy of gameinfo.txt that is used to update gameinfo.txt by the bat file in the listenserver package I use (that I shared for others).

Try changing

GameBin |gameinfo|addons\metamod\bin.

to

GameBin       |gameinfo_path|addons\metamod\bin

No "."

set it in readonly and THEN try again.

basically, i've figured out how to launch meta but in order to do that...mani had to be sacrificed

now onto actually loading mani mms version...
