A cheater has been banned for aimbot on my TF2 server, but was banned with the wrong version of SMAC. I had tried out version 0.8.6.0 of SMAC on my server in the past, but that didn't really go well. A couple hackers had gotten past it for god knows what reason, so I've since then overwritten it with version 0.8.5.1 of SMAC.

I currently have version 0.8.5.1 of SMAC running on my server. All of it is version 0.8.5.1 and triple checked to make sure. But, he was still banned with the reason "SMAC 0.8.6.0: Aimbot Detected". Should this be of concern or should I ignore it? I'm running Sourcemod version 1.7.1-git5165 and Metamod version 1.10.5-git928.

It also didn't write anything to the SMAC.log of him cheating.

You need to change the plugin "smac_aimbot.smx" to an older version.

Nevermind. The lmaoban reason was set to the wrong version of SMAC. I like how I solve my issues right after I post stuff.

SMAC 0.8.5.1 is outdated and not fully compatible with SM 1.7+ (gives errors, but mostly works) so you should really consider upgrading to 0.8.6.0. The latest 0.8.6.0 dev build should work with TF2 without eyetest false positives.

Just wanted to give advice to anyone planning to upgrade to 0.8.6.0. It must be compiled on SM 1.6. I tried to compile it on SM 1.7 and it said it worked, but a few natives were deprecated. I tried to use it anyway but after a reboot, it started to error, and starting calling itself 0.8.5.1. Once I compiled on SM 1.6, everything is working fine.

Not sure if you were talking to me or not, but I used the latest everything and compiled myself for both the 1.7 and 1.6 builds.

Edit: The culprit may have been Updater. When I compiled in 1.7 updater seemed to not know that 0.8.6.0 was newer than 0.8.5.1 and was overwriting. When I do it in 1.6 though Updater doesnt seem to have an issue with it.
