No point in adding this function to SteamWorks when it'll only have underlying bugs.

Just cache the streamgroup's xml pages every 10-30 mins and call it a day. Seems like the best solution at the moment.

What about features to convert SteamID types? (76561198036794478 --> STEAM_0:08264375 / U:1:76528750 or vice versa)

Some stocks available work but others don't.

That's more of something that should probably be added to SourceMod itself.

And all KyleS and I were saying is that they bypass users' explicit privacy controls and give inaccurate results in some cases anyway.

Use the Web API, parse the group members, store their accountids in an ADT_Array, then do a search whenever someone joins against it. That way you get an instant, accurate, lookup without violating anything.

I'm pretty confused by the continued request for an extraordinarily broken API that will only hurt players by its pure inaccuracy.

At least it provides accurate and fast check for group admin rights.
udp: Finally, you could rename the native to be more understandable about what it actually provides, something like "wasInvitedOrMember" instead of "isMember". 2long, but you get the idea
