On random occasions, using SetEntityModel () does not properly attach the hitboxes.
The model is attached shortly after the spawn (after around 5 seconds), if it means anything.

The model I'm using is this: http://gamebanana.com/skins/147205
"models/player/custom_player/kodua/re/birkin/birkin2.mdl"

Although invisible, I found out that the hitbox model is simply lying on the ground, attached to player's feet, sort of like how players lay on the ground when they don't have any weapons.

I do not have any other plugin that uses SetEntityModel or the likes.

Weird thing is that most of the time it works perfectly fine.

You aren't attaching the hitboxes from the custom model to the player, you are replacing them with your own from the model. It's best to use models that are compatible with csgo, as a few things changed recently.

Oh, that's right.

Any idea what caused the game to improperly attaching the hitbox to the model?
It's just a bit weird that most of the time it works fine.

What did you mean by the model is invisible?
and did the player have a weapon in their hand?

Basically, when I use the model on a player, on rare occasions the hitbox gets attached to the player in a weird way.
Players would shoot him and it wouldn't register. I found out that when you shoot at the ground behind him you could shoot him, as if his hitbox is just laying on the floor.

something like this



some reason using custom models sometimes headshot won't register
but works perfectly fine if using original valve models

My case is more severe. The hitbox is just straight laying on the ground.

Yeah, all custom models with new cs:go skeleton face this problem, but models with old skeleton work fine. Also, after updating to sourcemod 1.8 i almost didn't notice that, like 1/100 chance, and on sourcemod 1.7 it was like 1/10. (Some people also say it happens only if player have nothig except knife, so it mostly affect zombie mod servers.)
And for models that were made ~3 months ago hitboxes usually just move to the right side from model, but for newest models they move to the player's feet.
