Yes back to the topic.

So it seems that if the master server is unavailable it somehow translates into lag on the servers end. After last night would that be correct?

If it is correct would it be possible to cache any data that is needed from the mast server (maybe the global ban list, etc) I have no idea yet how KAC communicates to the mast or what is communicated. But it would be nice to have some type of safe guard in case the master is unreachable from the server.

The master being unreachable shouldn't cause any problems. Anyhow the master has been fully active for weeks now. Its just that until last night pings weren't allowed by the router. Which that shouldn't have had any impact on server performance.

When someone joins the server how does KAC deal with checking the master ban list?

Hmm IDK

I know that I had huge freeze/lag issues just after KAC was installed (Never an issues before) and it cleared up after the plugin was unloaded. Also what about the logs stating that KAC had an issue with the update server?

Anywho it seems to be ok now and I put it back on all of my servers. I'll make sure to let you know if I see anymore issues.

Looks like KAC did successfully update to the new version today.

I'm getting more reports of lag on the server today.. Removing KAC corrects the issue.. I would love to use this I just need to figure out this lag problem.

Can you please make kac_status admin only, and hide it from non-admins by sending "Unknown command" back?

It is admin only, however the way it is handled is done by SourceMod. KAC itself has no control.

Plus it is pointless to hide KAC as anyone can just type "sm plugins list" in console and find out what plugins you are running.

I really cannot find out how KAC would cause any lagging. Other than Anti-WH (as Anti-WH is CPU intensive if turned on).

The network just sends a 10-15 byte packet every 5 seconds until all clients that have just joined are verified. So there shouldn't be any problems with that (as a single client takes a far greater deal more bandwidth).
