No. Removing a few cvars will not change the performance of your server. Poorly written plugins are what you should be watching out for.

Simply change the 180 on line 49 to some other value (value is in seconds and must end with a ".0").

A menu is a menu and if it works as a menu then what's the problem? Doesn't it already have colored numbers? There aren't a whole lot of colors possible with menus. If you would like something specific, you should request it and maybe someone could modify it for you.
