I just tried connecting to my steam account and i get this message

Could not connect to Steam network.
This could be due to a problem with your internet connection or with the Steam network. Please visit www.steampowered.com for more info..


i used to get this message before and i closed steam and tried again and it worked... tried even removing the steamclient.dll from cstrike folder, also tried to set it so it wont remember the password..

I know its not a problem with my connection cuz i am writing this, and when i try to put in a wrong password it says wrong password nothing about connection.


Any one know how to fix this problem?

yup.. it happened after i switched from my cs source name to my cs 1.6 name.. now i cant log in into source or 1.6

hm, have you tried to delete your ClientRegistry.blob?

still nothing.. tried deleting the blob and tried to restore my windows to the point where steam worked

Maybe its your router if you have one?

if there was a problem with router i wouldnt be writing this.. i got DSL..
