I'm running NFO's managed package, with 1000 FPS and high priority option...
I've been debating on should I just get a VPS box for a fraction of the $65 I'm paying for 1 server now lol...

But.. I've been convinced that their managed boxes have been tweaked better for the buyers to maintain a nice 1000 FPS server with good hit reg.

So this brings me to this unstable FPS log I have recorded today.. it really has been this unstable for a couple years of me owning the server but today I decided to cut back on the costs and plan ahead to save me money. So with that being said.. is something wrong with the below outputs of FPS jumping from 200 to 400 to 1000 and above sometimes.... it doesn't seem stable at all? The server doesnt really lag at all.. but I don't understand why the FPS isn't stable at 1000 or atleast within like a 100 - 300 flucuation.... but no dropping as low as 200 fps at times ?

Output with 29 players:
sys_ticrate 10000
default NFO settings they set up for server rates 101,101 100k

I could be wrong, but I've run servers for a very long time, and such thing is not to worry about. The server(even full) does not operate 100% all the time. It only operates as much as it needs. If you're sure there's nothing taking up resources and cuts them from HLDS and there are no lag/ping spikes, there's nothing to worry about.
Those drops are normal.

Since FPS ticks are making fun of you, I recommend you to install a metamod plugin called mmtimer.

I recommend you to not promote mmtimer. That plugin is asking for punishment.

As for OP. It seems you are just running HLDS server. Paying $65 for 1 is just flat out insanity. I don't see any package from NFO that costs that much. I've ran servers on their stuff and I can run a single server for less than 15 bucks a month. Not sure what's going on here, but don't buy into their marketing schemes.

do that and report back when they suspended your service --- NOT

@OP the price you're paying is outrageous unless you also have real DDOS protection in which case a big chunk of the money goes there, hardware, connection and power consumption wise a HLDS server literally can not be more than 20 - 25$ tops.

Now on the FPS, that really depends on what you're running on the server. It also depends on how many players are online. To be honest those fluctuations are pretty insane and I actually think it's pretty bad, it's normal but like you described it, maybe down to 700, but not under 200, that's crazy. Either your mod is huge and badly written OR they are overusing their equipment.
