Title pretty much. I want to set the Clantag and Name of the players trough my plugin, and prevent the user from changing either. Is that possible in CS:GO? Tried to hook the player_changename event to begin with but that (obviously?) doesnt seem to block anything.

You can do that, but a player can override it and make it so their name and tag are forced.

There certainly has to be some "forced" way. Faceit and ESEA are able to do it (removing the clantag and setting the nick to the website name) without me being able to change it.

They also don't use SourceMod. I haven't used either in a long time, but back then you could stop them from changing it also.

Well, i found a way.

Changing/Setting the clantag can be fully blocked trough OnClientCommandKeyValues. Changing the Name can be prohibited/hooked trough the player_changename event, in which you can (re)set the name you want the client to have.
