The weapon restrictions are based on the original VIP gameplay in CS and there is not a way to change them.

is there anybody even thinking of working on this mod? i think vip mod would be played everywhere if the damn vip could get a weapon. picture a sam fisher style vip w/o weapon restrictions. would bring it to a whole new level. in servers with skilled players, being the vip is just too damn hard. anyway, any update on where we can snatch this mod?

I would also like to note that there isn't much VIP maps available that run nicely on larger servers and some of them contain exploits which enable "skywalking" among other bugs. The map as_arctic has one such, also as_trashedmansion. These and other more working maps can be found from: http://www.fpsbanana.com/mapcats/257

I would also like to inform that not all the maps there are valid vip maps, only the ones starting with as_*.

thx much dustin! up and running on my server no issues so far. man i wish somebody would take a crack at adding a cvar to this mod for giving the vip a weapon. its worse then i remembered. i knew the vip only had a pistol but he only gets 2 clips as well. is there anywhere to get the source? i would try it myself (although i have no idea how to code a MM plug). ill stop crying now. thx again this is a great add for a custom css server!

I do not have ES Tools running but getting the same problem.

If there isn't any VIP, it isn't Eventscripts that is causing it. ES_Tools isnt officially part of Eventscripts so that might be it. I have v2.0.0.250i Public Beta2 running and alongside it i have vip mod on metamod 1.7.1. Works like a charm. I also had previous eventscripts long time ago (1.5) and it worked also.

Try running it without Sourcemod, if it works, then some sourcemod plugin or sourcemod itself is causing the issue.
