It won't let me "Invalid parameter"

Also, it'll probably break some programs that rely on the letters, but I can always fix them <_<. I know the adobe flash plugin blindly assumes "C:" (or it did in the past).

The only program I have been able to install successfully is Steam .
Notepad++ Fail! x 3
Adobe Flash Player Fail! x 5

I gave up on Windows 7 at that point.

and, so far I can't get it to successfully dual boot with WinXP.

I guess Windows doesn't like you. But then again, I haven't tried XP and Win7, just Vista and Win7

Maybe I will decide to install the RC this weekend, I hope

Um...you do realize that this RC has the XP Virtualization software built in, right?

Yami, please do not use vulgar language on these forums. We do not speak of the "V" word here. That little hack of an OS should be outlawed throughout the world.

Well that's interesting...

So far, I can install everything just fine. CS won't run in OpenGL (haven't tried compatibility mode yet).

I don't know if I want to keep fooling around with this. My XP system is tweaked to the point that I don't really want to spend the time transferring all my settings to Win7. Also, IT CAN'T SHARE MY PRINTER. BLARGH.

@Yami

I'm dual-booting with WinXP with no problems. o_O

You have to install more recent drivers, here the first ATI ones didn't run OpenGL either, but Catalyst 9.3 works fine.

I have to change my system in bios or my favorite method: unplug Win7 HD LOL).

Are you using a single HD? I installed Win7 while my XP HD was connected and I assumed that it would know since every page that I found said it would be automatic (unless two HDs is the issue). I need to figure out how to manually set up dual boot for Win7 because it won't work with my XP setup at all, I get "Windows would not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe". I know where to go in XP but haven't found the file in Win7 yet. If you know how to do this PM me that way it will be much quicker.

@all

Anyone post on their forums about your feedback?
