Personally for updating the game l4d2. But they shouldn't hit the community.
It will be more helpful for me if they add support for uploading the workshop to the server (as is done in INC and CSGO). I believe this will be the most useful update for the game.

dont forget garrys mod you can have servers subscribe to addons that get sent to game clients and no more room in hell also does that

That's exactly what come in my mind when i saw the update.
Why updating a game so old? and with a so destructive update :/

From now my linux server (i freshly remade few days ago and had hard time to make it work again after many years where i wasn't able to have a server running) is working for most of the plugins, but impossible to have 16 players (now it's 4 max).
i got those errors

My max FPS now is only 144 like my monitor's framerate. Earlier it might be more than 144. Ex: 200, 250 and 300 (max). How i can it fix?

The update reset your video settings, check if v-sync is on.

The update also broke Video Settings can only be in full screen not windowed or change windowed resolution more harm than good everyone can agree

Disable any menu mods you have installed on your game. Alternatively, you can update the files from said mod instead by copying over the new features added.

On the other hand, it seems that the update has made a huge negative impact for Linux.
