Players entering can't leave name name under the author, but must have it somewhere in the code to prove it is theres. So I assume judges will not be able to look at the source?

edit: nvm they have to

* Readability
* Performance
* Complexity (Not always a good thing)
* Clarity of intent. Meaning variable naming, code organization, comments, and etc. should show us what the code should be doing.
* Coding style will not be a factor, however inconsistent coding styles will be.

logically all of the judges would be from the forums and know not only pawn but extensively into AMXX and all of it's modules. IE: VEN.

As well I would suggest that the judge's names be kept anonymous unless w/ their permission as they wouldn't want to be bombarded w/ questions about the competitions.

And I suggest running a competition to see the number of people who enter and thus get a good census of if this will work and then establish a small website for this - but really worrying about that later.

Yes they have to look at source and the plugin will simply have the name taken out, simply enough. taken out by a third party. "Double-Blind" competition I guess you could call it.

I'll be a judge. That way, everyone loses.

I counter that motion, and become a supreme-judge.

Variable naming? I fail horribly in my latest project.

I was hungry and a lot of the variables are associated with food.

I think I would definitley have fun in a competition like this.

I would only participate if it were team based as it would give me more motivation.

I don't know, maybe solo would be better.

I counter those motions, and hence bcomes supreme-dictator and declare myself winner.

I rather have a true obfuscated contest (where a winner is announced). I believe we should applaud the lack of ones skill rather than the presence of it .

Anyways, what are admissable scripts? Would they have to be approvable plugins or...?

they pick a type of script, and everyone tries to script it as best as they can. The best version of that script wins.
