yes I have seen screenies of clients with sky as blank, but might that not be counted as a cheat by vac etc?

Yes of course, they're done client-side. :-)

it might be possible to change the rendering color of all the sky entities, although I think the actual sky rendering is done seperate of the entity itself.

There is a server cvar called sky color or something like that but it doesnt do much from what I can tell (if anything at all)

to edit brightness settings just change the letters and re-compile, "a" is pitch black, "z" is like staring into the sun.

Kinda stupid for Counter-Strike. BUT it would add real-ism to Counter-Strike. You know, having to do hostage rushes in the middle of the night. Its all the rage ;). But for mods like Sven Co-op, this would be neet. Execept the fact that alot of people play world-wide. They should be asked what there time zome is. That would be so cool .

I dont see why not. You can set godmode and noclip on selected clients. You can set gravity on selected clients. You can set maxspeed on selected clients. You can set Health and Armor on selected clients.
