there is only a public group and an admin group.
admins are unaffected EG they get the menu for 30 seconds and can bring up the menu with !models
public don't get the menu and cannot bring up the menu with !models
everyone who connects receives the models and can see them without error
and as the bots are skinned they can be seen by everyone
This has worked flawlessly since you (andi) gave us the version to skin HL2DM bots.
As I regularly update the servers maybe something in an update has changed the client connect?
Your interest in what would be a dead game if it wasn't for "social distancing and lockdown" is very much appreciated, thanks

I've downloaded the latest version and got everything to work except the arms. I downloaded the fix thats on the bottom of the first post of this plugin, but its still not working.

Hello Andi67, here I updated your topic. Why? Its Clearer. Quickly get oriented. Maybe I will also make tutorials how to instal player models with your plugin for people. Because I have seen lots of people do same mistakes over and over...

Important Note!!!
In order to get Models/Skins working you have to check if all files are on your server (where you have plugins etc.) and Fast Download (Only if you running FDL. FDL is where are .bz2 files) also check if you have written the paths correctly in skinchooserdownloads.ini and skins.ini.
If you have problems visit the SM_SKINCHOOSER WIKIPAGE !!!
Red Errors , Invisible Models , Checksum Errors are meaning that you donīt have done it right!!!
All Files in the SM_SKINCHOOSER PACKAGES must be in your SourcemodFolder!!!

thanks for your reply. there is only one admin, that's me and as all the models are available to the public I haven't designated specific skins to specific groups, that's why my ini file only specifies public models.
Just to re-state, this has worked flawlessly for at least 3 years on 5 servers both windows and linux. Nothing has changed from my end all ini files remain the same (compared to original copies of setup files). I haven't updated the smx because it doesn't skin the bots, so I use the version that "andi" gave me (go back 3 years in the forum to find the reference). The problem is the public don't get the menu, that's it nothing else, everything else works as it should. I'm guessing that no one else runs models on a deathmatch server? Oh one last thing I don't run team deathmatch so could I delete the ini file that relates to it?
