Sup guys, I see other topics about this and other people saying it's working fine on their server but can I say I've tried a ton of the snap shot source mods (with current release) and I see that in 1.3.8(snapshots)- I get segment fail and 1.3.8(release)+ it gets hung up on the server trying to start (looks like it's trying to change the map), I narrowed it down to moving all the plugins to disabled and got the server to start fine, then I tried 1 plugin at a time and each one failed every time thought I only tried a couple plugins but they were just the bare essentials like "adminmenu.smx" & "antiflood.smx". Sorry if I am coming to you late with this info but still can't get mine running properly with the admin plugins that are provided in source. I've read other forums but none have an actual solution just more problems with the update from steam. My current server is a P4, 1.5GB RAM, with fresh Day of Defeat Source installed (nothing else)

Here's what my server looks like when it just hangs and doesn't actually start:

Code:
Auto detecting CPU
Using default binary: ./srcds_linux
Enabling debug mode
Server will auto-restart if there is a crash.

So to reiterate, I am running a fresh Day of Defeat Source server on a P4, 1.5gbs RAM with latest releases of MM & SM but server will hang and not fully start as shown above in the output.

Any help would be very much appreciated .

Anyone have suggestions, I still keep trying to update my steam folder with -verify_all and making sure I have all the new releases for MetaMod and SourceMod but still hangs on me, I feel like it's a small problem I could be looking over or something.

You're not using the latest SM.

Latest SM is 1.4. Try using that, or if you refuse to use the 1.4 snapshot, update your current install's gamedata with the gamedata from 1.4.

I've actually tried 1.4 as well and it gives me the same hang-up, sorry I wasn't clear but 1.38+ included 1.4 and those of different snapshots of 1.38 and 1.4.

If you upgrade your server SM 1.3.8 released version
- Shutdown server temporary, then upload files.
- *Or unload Metamod:Source, move metamod.vdf file out ...addons/ -folder, reboot.
Then upload files.

*If server not start at this point without MMS and SM, then problem is something else

Next, move all your plugins in ...plugins/disabled/ -folder
- So server not crash during launch and SM can download updated game data files.

*Move metamod.vdf file back ...addons/ -folder and reboot server.
Look again will server crash and if not, let run couple minutes so SM download updates.
Reboot one more time.

If server not crash at this point, you could move SM base plugins back .../plugins -folder and change level.
Then move rest plugins one by one back and changelevel, to check will plugin crash server.

If these not helped, try change another map in server launch parameter if you can.
Have read that some DoD:S maps have problems... not sure.

*edit
Have you latest released MetaMod Source on server ?? 1.8.7
