Just a heads up to everyone who runs a TF2 server.

Valve changed the tf_mm_servermode cvar this update. It is no longer an integer, but instead a boolean.

If you set it to 1, you're opting in to the TF2 MvM Boot Camp pool.

Having this setting set to anything but 0 will currently cause strange behavior on non-MvM server, such as the game repeatedly triggering round start.

Side note, the tf_mm_servermode 1 server issues on non-MvM servers could be caused by having tf_mm_strict 1 set on the same server.

So it's no longer possible to run a single map e.g. 24/7 payload with quickplay enabled?
My servers are switching to MvM maps if tf_mm_servermode is set to 1.

That was not the case before the update ...

before update:

The old tf_mm_servermode 1 was for the Quickplay Beta from 2012, which Valve removed later that same year. It hasn't been present in the game since then.

Got the message:
Match state is not in sync with GC, remaining out of MM until lobby is cleaned up
... all time long ... dont know how to fix that

Server is uptodate and sv_setsteamaccount and quickplay id etc is correct so far

My MvM servers that are setup for Bootcamp as in they will take a users either joining by manual or looking for a server for a group are nearly dead since this update - what is going on? I've gone thru to make sure that these settings are correct or at least I hope

tf_mm_strict 0

Something I'm missing here?

I use:

tf_mm_servermode 1
tf_mm_strict 1

same problem. The TF2 guys are such idiots. Every half yeah i have to reconfigure my server

Valve had an optional server update yesterday that mentioned fixing several things with MvM (and Arena). I highly recommend installing it if you haven't already.

I already got updated my tf2 servers ... nothing fixed until now.
Seems the fuc***in item shema is not correct again:

You have to use tf_mm_servermode 0 for MvM, as you aren't using lobby-based MM.
