Hi, I have a problem on my HLDS,
When I start my server, the following error appears: Your server needs to be restarted in order to receive the latest update .
But I restart the HLDS, restart the steam and yet the problem continues!
already used the hldsupdatetool and nothing worked!
I am already getting desperate, I have 12 servers stopped because of this error
pls help me!

Try to manually update your server.

hldsupdatetool -command update -game <game> -dir <installdir>

"game" flags:

Are you running a nosteam server?
Try to delete your steam.inf in the mod folder and re-run the hldsupdatetool with "-verify_all".

hldsupdatetool -command update -verify_all -game <game> -dir <installdir>

did you say the o'que-verify_all not solve anything .. the error remains

be sure u got full access to all folders! run update as root user... and this time start to post the damn screenshots!!!!! it will not help if u just say: the error remains...

addedum: more details more help.... u should know that! provide os, startcommand, whatever... ur problem is placed locally... so pls start to post screenshots, etc... and dont be worry when the first solution wont work... that will happen with so much details given by u.................................

I use Windows XP SP3, I was using Windows 7, I thought the problem was in the operating system, now moved to XP, but the problem persists!
yes, I put it in autoupdate steam as start, but nothing happens!
does not work for windows?
