I never take the ticket to CSGO when it come to me but i thought a lot about doing so.
But there is one thing that tell me to stick to CS 1.6.

Are you able to do the same liberty than you can do with CS 1.6 ?

I mean create a whole diferent game using CSGO as a base ? like creating an advanced mod like weapons mod or superhero mod ?

Seeing some post here, communities can't even change the weapon skin from server side ?

You cant replicate a steam commodity and give it to a player.

If you want to make a mod with different models and materials, go nuts.

The only thing you "pay" for is the hardware you buy/rent to host Valve's FREE SRCDS software.
Thanks for pin pointing the exact thing that I implied. I'll keep that in mind for next time.

As for "SRCDS is free" statement. That is just being ignorant. SRCDS is paid in indirect ways, as it increases the sales of their game, which in turns is a paid commodity. The fact that you don't directly pay for SRCDS don't mean its free.

Its not worth arguing to be honest. Regardless of our opinions on that matter. These changes have only effected the community owners who run the servers the right way, and ignite the thought of running cracked servers.

I'm glad I stuck to Left4Dead2 server only. CSGO community scene is as unstable as it gets.

This will likely port to every game that has item economy cancer. I would not be surprised if this comes to TF2 to spite people who have worked around attachables, even though community TF2 servers don't really get any traffic. (Fortunately?) There also will be people who are always working to find workarounds to everything Valve does.

Valve wants people who spent absurd amounts of money on pixels to feel special.

Also, you were able to escape the old blacklisting method with a dynamic IP address.

Can one token be used across multiple servers/IPs? Or do we need a token for each server?

You need a different token for each server.

Why? Because using the same token on a second server will cause the first server to be logged out.

The public part of the tokens are also saved by players when they Favo(u)rite your server. If your server changes IP addresses, clients should pick up that change within 24 hours of the change.

Great one more thing to worry about for the people doing the right thing, fucking great. I guess more will get to play on their awesome 64tick servers.
Thanks, valve.
