CS2 - RCON problems to conect.

Hello, I have a problem with the RCON connection on a certain website and not only do I get the following message:

Can't connect to RCON server: Connection refused

All ports are unlocked, Rcon is also maybe I'm doing something wrong. Please help, what can I do? I have an individual server on OVH.

This is a server for Counter-Strike 2

I don't think rcon is working in cs2

but at least for css/csgo you had to also have this on your servers start up command line.

use fake_rcon (google it) im using for quite a while and it's fine.

I haven't tried it but this looks good and you don't need to install metamod.

If you're connected to the same server you trying to RCON, it will not work. You should be disconnected or use another RCON client to connect to server.

Also, it is recommended that you define your external IP in rcon_address in server.cfg and add

+net_public_adr your_public_ip

to your startup script.

metamod 1255 plus fake_rcon work great

For:
Windows servers
Linux servers
or both?

A i know,both work with 1255 dev release. I have it on linux and works great with fake_rcon.
