CSGO Mapchooser lag spike when !nominate

Hi. I'm having this sort-of known issue that when someone uses !nominate on my server - the server will experience a brief lag spike. This is due to what I am guessing the size of my mapcycle.txt which is.. filled.

I realize I might have to trim down the maps amount but first of all I'd like to see if there's any known / suggested alternatives to fix this issue? Maybe make it so the !nominate targets a different type of document (.ini ?) Would that make any difference or should I look into something else?

The server runs KZTimer with Mapchooser Extended, and some additional plugins that I can send a list of if needed.

The thing that people mention to me is that they like that you can play any map on it, I'd rather not change that.

322 lines shouldnt spike the servers var.

1. Maybe the HHD is becoming faulty
2. Free up some space on it
3. Defrag it
4. Move to an SSD
