I'm going to do this if no one else is already doing it, as it seems that many people want it, I already have experience with placing decals.
I'm not sure how the pure mode works, but I think it would be compatible.

This will work with pure 1 mode as long as the decals are added to the whitelist.

And berni thanks for stepping up for this I can't wait to see what you come up with : it will be very popular

Status: 70%

Done:
  • sm_paintdecal <name> - Sprays a decal on any wall you are aiming at (includes a complex traceray calculation); new decals can be defined in the config.
  • Config system, adding new decals, and map specific configs for the decal positions.
  • Precaching decals and adding them to the autodownload list.
Todo left:
  • sm_savedecals - To save the positions of painted decals to the config.

berni: very good. Cant wait to have that plugin on my servers. One thing though: Is there an easy possibility to remove a specific decal in-game e.g. while looking at it or something?

Afaik you can't remove temporary entities like world decals, once you have sent them to the client(s). Once the client has it, the server doesn't have control over it anymore. If anyone knows a way to do it, it would be nice if he could me, I'm open for suggestions
